sound-
- Diegetic sound- in the world of the film. if the characters play and act to the sound, (can hear it,) then it is diegetic.
- Non-diegetic- sound which we do not recognize as part of the film world such as voice over or the soundtrack.
Colour-
- how different colour's represent different characters, such as red symbolizing danger.
Also think about mise-en-scene - art direction - costume, setting, gesture, hair and make-up as well as parallel and contrapuntal sound. Think about composition and, even though we haven't discussed it yet - editing is important.
